A curious point, and one that should be noted, involves the fact that the video shows Janet Varney pretending to read a book about Avatar Kyoshi. The character in question was rumored in June, as it was even considered that the first animated film would focus on her adventures. At this point it is still unclear if the movie about the character will still happen, if it has been discarded, or if it will end up becoming an animated series.
About Avatar: The Legend of Aang Universe Animated Projects
According to an article published by the website Variety in the month of June, the Paramount and Nickelodeon are working alongside the Avatar Studiosfounded in February 2021, in several projects involving the anime universe Avatar: The Legend of Aang.
Also during the announcement, it was revealed that Lauren Motgomery, who worked on Avatar: The Legend of Aang, was set to direct the as-yet-untitled first film, with co-creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino set to produce alongside Eric Coleman.
At the time, it was revealed that three projects would be in development, and a few days later rumors surfaced on the internet highlighting that the plots would focus on Avatars Kyoshi and Korra, as well as Prince Zuko. Something that now, during San Diego Comic-Con, ended up putting the story of an older Aang first.
“As creators Mike and Bryan expand the Avatar: The Legend of Aang universe with us, we’re keeping it ‘in the family’ with Lauren bringing the same kind of work and professionalism shown in the original series,” completed Ramsey Naitohead of animation at Paramount Animation, during the June announcement.
