Scheduled for November 22, 2023 in theaters, the film has unveiled a first image that is reminiscent of Disney from the 90s.

One of the most anticipated anime of 2023, Season 3 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will be out next April. Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba: On the way to the blacksmith village will bring together on the big screen the last two episodes of season 2, as well as the first of season 3, lasting one hour. In all, the feature film will last more than 1h40. When we know the immense success that has had Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Infinity Trainufotable would be wrong to miss this opportunity. The film is scheduled for February 3 in Japan, but does not yet have a French release date. However, we know thata preview is organized in Paris on February 25, 2023, in the presence of producer Yuma Takahashi. In the meantime, you can take a look at the Season 3 trailer, available here.

6# Elementary

Scheduled for June 21, 2023, Elementary is the next film from the legendary studio Pixar. Despite the resounding departure of John Lasseter and the difficulties caused by Covid-19 and the launch of Disney+, the studio now headed by Pete Docter has continued to bring us films that are as moving as they are artistically accomplished : Drunk, Luke and Red alert. If unfortunately Buzz Lightningwhich marked Pixar’s return to theaters, was a box office failure, the studio intends to catch up with Elementarydirected by Peter Sohn (the director of Arlo’s Journey), and which will deal with natural elements, with a concept quite close to that of Vice versa. The first trailer, unveiled on November 18, is exciting!

#5 Chicken Run 2

Perfect marriage between The great Escape by John Sturges and Animal Farm by George Orwell, chicken run is one of the best animated films of the 2000s. Twenty-three years later, the legendary British studio Aardman Animation (Wallace and Gromit) will offer us a sequel this year, for the moment without an official release date. However, we know the English title, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nuggetand we also know that the film could have an exclusive release on Netflix. At last, Chicken Run 2 offers himself a beautiful voice castwith among others Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Solo), Zachary Levi (Shazam!), David Bradley (Harry Potter, Game Of Thrones, Broadchurch) or even Bella Ramsey (Game Of Thrones, The Last of Us, His Dark Materials). A first image has been unveiled, which already makes us impatient to discover it!

#4 Suzume

Makoto Shinkai, whom the mainstream press likes to call “the new Miyazaki”, literally rolled over the box office in 2016 with the moving Your Name.the third highest-grossing anime film at the Japanese box office, behind Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Infinity Train and Spirited away by Hayao Miyazaki. If his next film, The Children of Timewas more discreet in 2019, it was nevertheless the film the biggest hit on Japanese soil in 2019. While wishing him for susume, his next feature film, released on November 11, 2022 and which will be released in France on April 12, if not a similar success? Especially since the story is rather attractive: Suzume, a 17-year-old girl, must close the mysterious Gates of Disaster that have appeared all over Japan, causing multiple disasters. The trailer promises, as for it, an animation, as usual, of a high quality!

#3 Super Mario Bros., the movie

While Hollywood seems to be taking a little more care with its video game adaptations, fans of nintendo may well have what they have never had to date: a good film adapting one of Big N’s flagship licenses. The first trailer for Super Mario Bros, the movieunveiled last October, greatly boosted expectations : the feature film centered on the most famous plumber in Pop Culture, co-produced by Illumination (the studio behind the saga Me, Despicable Me) and Nintendo, promises to be both funny, fun, colorful, and very respectful of the universe developed by Shigeru Miyamoto and its teams. Release scheduled for April 5, 2023.

#2 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse

Following the huge success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (in French, Spider-Man: Next Generation), which hit the headlines in 2018 before winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature the following year, Phil Lord and Chris Miller return with a two-part sequel, set to premiere May 31, 2023. Whereas The Marvel Cinematic Universe struggles to convince us of the potential of its multiverse, the trailer, crazy and splendid, of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse alone is a great lesson given to Kevin Feige !

#1 – Kimi-tachi wa do ikiru ka

1673185525 414 Disney Pixar Ghibli top 8 animated films that we

Thirteen years after the magnificent (and far too underrated) The wind picks up, the absolute master of animation cinema returns with a new feature film, freely inspired by the novel And you, how do you live? by Genzaburō Yoshinopublished in 1937. Described as “a great fantasy tale” by producer Toshio Suzuki, Kimi-tachi wa do ikiru ka required many years of development, and was postponed several times. The movie, which may well be the director’s last film Princess Mononoke (who celebrated his 82nd birthday on January 5, 2023), will also sign the master of Japanese animation’s new collaboration with legendary composer Joe Hisaishi. A first poster has been unveiled, increasing our impatience tenfold. Although the chances that Hayao Miyazaki’s next film will be released in France in 2023 are very slim (it is scheduled for July 14 in Japan), Studio Ghibli fans that we are continue to hope. Knowing that The wind picks up by Miyazaki and Memories of Marnie by Hiromasu Yonebayashi were respectively released in Japan in July 2013 and July 2014, for a French release in January 2014 and January 2015, can’t we hope for a release in December 2023?
