Dreamland Anime And One Punch Man Movie To Be Unveiled Soon

What good news for manga fans… Yes, it’s not a dream, ADN has just confirmed that the Dreamland anime by French Reno Lemaire is coming very soon. And that’s not all, after the manga, the anime and the video game, a live-action of the famous manga One Punch Man has also just been announced by Sony.

Dreamland Anime’s New Teaser Released June 20

For those who don’t know, Dreamland is a French manga started in 2006. It now has 20 bound volumes at Pika. Its plot revolves around Terrence, a shy young high school student who wants to seduce Lydia, the girl he has always loved. One night, his life turns into a nightmare as he overcomes his greatest fear… Fire. From then on, he leads a double life: ordinary high school student by day and “fire controller” by night in Dreamland, the world of dreams.

Reno Lemaire, author of this French manga, has never hidden his desire to find an animation studio that would take up the challenge of adapting this original work without much hope either. Indeed, as the story takes place partly in France, in Montpellier, he did not think that the animation studios would project themselves there.

However, a few days ago, the platform DNA posted this tweet and confirmed the arrival of Dreamland on the platform.

However, no release date has yet been announced. All we know is that it’s produced by DNA and that the full teaser comes out on June 20… We can also expect a faithful adaptation, since Reno Lemaire had already spoken about the censorship, saying he would refuse the adaptation if it was a question of removing elements. After Radiantso it’s Dreamland’s turn to take this important step!

One Punch Man arrives at the cinema with the preparation of a new live-action

We no longer present it to you, One Punch Man is a superhero anime based on the eponymous manga. It combines action, comedy and satire. The concept seems ingeniously simple. The hero, Saitama, is so strong that he can defeat any opponent with a single punch. Unfortunately, he’s a bit frustrated, because there’s no one left to challenge him.

It is not difficult to appropriate the existential crisis highlighted in One Punch Man. The anime excels because it’s both absurd and revels in destroying tropes with every punch. Reversing the expectations of shonen nekketsu, we come to hope that Saitama can finally find someone to defeat him, and in that act find salvation from the boredom that threatens to crush his existence (and therefore ours). .

So, a live-action One Punch Man is coming, and it’s none other than Justin Lin, the director of the famous Fast and Furious, who has been assigned to direct the film. The screenwriters will be Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner (Venom, Jumanji: The Next Level), while Avi and Ari Arad (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Ghost in the Shell) will produce alongside Justin Lin. So expect spectacular effects and a rather interesting rendering.

That said, the start of production is scheduled for the end of this year, so don’t expect to see images circulating for some time! As of now, there are still no casting details – and especially which actor will play Saitama, the self-taught hero who knocks out enemies with a simple punch. It’s also too early to know which parts of the original script the film will cover. However, we can imagine that the film will cover the entire first season, ending with Saitama’s battle with Lord Boros.

Anyway, we can’t wait to learn more about this new format of One-Punch Man. We can’t wait to watch Dreamland’s first full-length teaser, which will be released on June 20, 2022.
