season 3 of the animated series ”harley quinn” finally has an official release date. The long-awaited original production of hbo max starring actress Kaley Cuoco, who lends his voice to the titular character in the English version, will hit the streaming platform on July 28. New episodes will see Harley Quinn embark on all sorts of misadventures with her now-partner Poison Ivy, as well as the return of recurring characters King Shark and Clayface.
The new episodes began production in February 2021, and it was in March that it was announced that “Harley Quinn” had already officially completed its first audio mix, with its first look at season 3 being shown in the DC FanDome from 2021 that included voiceover and unfinished animation, as well as a full-color look at Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.
The series also released a six-issue tie-in comic titled ”Harley Quinn: The Animated Series – The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour”, intended to fill the gap between seasons 2 and 3. Written by Tee Franklin, drawn by Max Sarin, colored by Marissa Louise, and lettered by Taylor Esposito, the comic follows Harley and Poison Ivy on their journey through road after the show’s climactic Season 2 finale.

The first two seasons of Harley Quinn originally premiered on the DC Universe streaming service, but amid the service’s restructuring, both seasons were added to HBO Max in August 2020, followed by the announcement that Season 3 would premiere exclusively on HBOMax.
In a 2020 interview, Schumacker and Halpern explained that season 3 would focus on toxic relationships and deal heavily with Harley and Ivy’s new romance. “That’s the most important thing for us,” Halpern said at the time. “What we’ve preliminarily discussed is the idea that these two characters have had a lot of toxic relationships in the past.” The new episodes will also include a special cameo from the director. James Gunn.
The third season of “Harley Quinn” will arrive with 10 episodes on July 28 of this year, being an exclusive premiere of HBO Max.
