Viterbo – We receive and publish – The Christmas initiatives of the Rieti-Viterbo Chamber of Commerce in the historic center of the City of the Popes start on 8 December with a rich calendar of events.
The itinerary of the activities will start right from the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce with light games in via Fratelli Rosselli and the setting up, in piazza Verdi, of an arctic landscape with igloos and polar bears which represents a sure attraction for adults and children.
Along Corso Italia there will be extraordinary openings until 6 January of temporary shops with food and wine products from 25 local companies, which will expand the commercial and tourist opportunities of the capital and at the same time revive otherwise closed premises.
The program continues with the creation of a theatrical animation, which will keep the streets and squares alive with jugglers, acrobats, magicians and storytellers. Other events that will be held in the same period, always organized by the Chamber of Commerce, will surround it: food education workshops for children and show cooking for adults with Slow Food and the “Bellezza DOP” meeting dedicated to natural cosmetics with extra virgin olive oil olive oil from Tuscia at the marquee in Piazza Martiri d’UNGo. Here the promotional video of the province will be projected on a big screen, for those who want to travel with their imagination, and not only, in the Tuscia Viterbo area.
“With the council of the new Rieti-Viterbo Chamber of Commerce – declares the president Domenico Merlani – we wanted to give a strong signal of presence in northern Lazio by putting together a program for these rather important festivities in both provinces, both in order to enhance this area and attract visitors and tourists, but also to give citizens and above all entrepreneurs a sense of optimism and serenity for the future.
Another element we want to underline is the strong communication activity we are carrying out in central Italy and above all in Rome, also in consideration of the topicality of proximity tourism which rewards Tuscia and Reatino”.

THEATRICAL ANIMATION IN THE STREETS AND SQUARES OF THE HISTORICAL CENTER OF VITERBO For the days of 8, 11, 12, 18, 19 and 26 December 2021 and 2 and 6 January 2022, from 16.00 to 18.30 jesters, circus performers, acrobats and storytellers enliven piazza Giuseppe Verdi, corso Italia and piazza delle Erbe with games, magic, stories and colours, to warm the heart and share the joyful atmosphere of the holidays and every day, at the end of the entertainment, they will greet the public by performing in a show in Piazza delle Erbe.

It will be led by two chefs who will take turns in the creation of the dishes with their own interpretation of the Christmas recipes of the Viterbo tradition in the presence of the producers who will illustrate the characteristics of their products.

“BELLEZZA DOP”: EVENT DEDICATED TO NATURAL COSMETICS WITH EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL FROM TUSCIA

Event dedicated to natural cosmetics with extra virgin olive oil from Tuscia during which oil tasting experts and producers from Tuscia will illustrate the applications of extra virgin olive oil in cosmetics, all enlivened by the presentation of clothes made from the Fotu fashion institute and with an aperitif based on typical products of Tuscia at the end of the event.
