After the switching on of the Christmas lights, Civitanova is preparing to breathe a weekend of pure magic. The first appointment in the program of city events is scheduled Saturday 11 December, when the “Semibreve” Musical Association will perform in Piazza XX Settembre from 6 pm: under the tree (a gift from Esine), teachers and pupils of the school will perform a Christmas concert.

Sunday 12 December is full of events. Starting from the port, in Piazza XX Settembre the traditional little house of Santa Claus will be positioned throughout the day with the sled of the Green Cross of Civitanova Marche, where it will be possible for the little ones to take a picture with Santa Claus. In the afternoon, on the other hand, the streets of the center will be invaded by the joy of itinerant animations by “Marameo in the town of Santa Claus” and the exhibition of “The Bright Angels”. Festive Sunday afternoon in Civitanova Alta, when from 3 pm there will be street artists and typical local markets and the exhibition of nativity scenes in Piazza della Libertà. The “House of Santa Claus” will instead be set up in the San Francesco Cloister.

Also on Sunday, starting at 17.30 in the evocative setting of the San Francesco Multimedia Space in Civitanova Alta, The thirteenth edition of the Civitanova Classica Piano Festival comes to an end: the Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra will be directed by maestro Zbynek Müller and the Russian pianist Yuri Bogdanov and Lorenzo Di Bella, creator of the festival, will alternate at the piano. Single ticket 10 euros, available in presale on the Ciaotickets platform and in the points of sale of the circuit.

So Sunday, at the Annibal Caro theater in Civitanova Alta, the review returns “At the theater with mum and dad”. From 5 pm a super classic will be staged such as “The Wizard of Oz”, also this seasonal novelty of the “Bertolt Brecht” Theater in Formia: it will be a show where the art of puppets will mix with that of the actors. At 19, the eighth year of the School of culture and poetic writing opens Sibylla Aleramo of Civitanova Marche, sponsored by the Municipality of Civitanova Marche in collaboration with the Municipal Library “S. Zavatti”. The director of the School, Umberto Piersanti, will be live on Sunday 12 December at 7 pm (on the School’s Facebook page) to present the new course, take stock of past years and conclude with a reflection on today’s poetry.

“Christmas in Civitanova – The city awaits you” is the program created by the Municipality in collaboration with the Civitanova Marche Theater Company, Pro Loco Civitanova Marche, Pro Loco Civitanova Marche Alta, Croce Verde Civitanova Marche, the traders of Centriamo and many local associations and operators, who have given their invaluable contribution.

The municipal administration has set up a free shuttle bus service from 3 to 8 pm from the parking lot of the “Filippo Corridoni” Commercial Technical Institute in Via XXIV Maggio, where it will be possible to leave the car and then take the shuttle bus directly to the centre.
