Scrooge: A Christmas Carol (Scrooge: A Christmas Carol) is an animated film based on Christmas story of dickens. It is directed by Stephen Donnelly.
The Christmas classic, this time with a spectacular animation so that the little ones can get closer to this Christmas classic in this musical version.
It is not the most purist of versions. And she appreciates it.
Lots and lots of jokes with another well-known production company.
The evil and greedy Ebenezer Scrooge will receive three ghosts on Christmas Eve to overcome his selfishness and understand the spirit of Christmas.
Faithful to the text (very relatively), with its Disney-like musical numbers and with very (Disney-like) effects in this (another) charming adaptation of the classic that always comes back around these dates. About the story: nothing to add to a spectacular story published in 1843. He captivated then and continues to captivate and attract the public and teach the little ones a little lesson.
About the new adaptation: frankly enjoyable and charming, how could it be less. It has jokes, just the right ones, its climax moments well carried out and, above all, a balanced rhythm in a well-carried script with an iron structure in which it is difficult to do wrong if you have the means.
The voices: above all, Luke Evans (Scrooge) stands out, well accompanied by a hilarious Olvia Colman, who shines as a ghost, transforming and adopting various roles.
Not only will it be enjoyed by the little ones in the house, it has enough complexity (or just enough, rather) to enjoy the carousel of internal jokes in animated films.
Although of course: you have to want to see, again, the same story, although this time very converted
In that, we no longer enter.

Where to watch Scrooge: A Christmas Carol
“It’s certainly not a Christmas Carol for purists, and the hype (…) But it provides a pretty decent introduction to the story for younger viewers.”
Frank Scheck: The Hollywood Reporter
“The voices of Olivia Colman, Luke Evans and Jessie Buckley cannot enliven an ugly and joyless remake of Dickens’s classic.”
