It is to make up for this lack that the De l’ecriture à l’image de Saint-Quirin association, the EJT-Labo company, the Georges-Méliès school and the Poles of Lyacon-WJ-Team, set up a new stop motion animator technique training at Epinal.
It is aimed at animation technicians in the audiovisual and cinema sectors, entertainment workers, animation authors and visual artists.
12 trainee students aged 19 to 50
Since the beginning of November, it has welcomed 12 student trainees aged 19 to 50. The training takes place within the walls of the Roman House, where they have two rooms for theoretical learning and practical work, as well as all the equipment: cameras, computer stations, animation table, puppets…
2 animators from the Polish studio WJ-team
The trainees receive a progressive teaching on the different stages of animation and learning of the scenes shot, provided by two animators from the Polish studio WJ-team and two French speakers, including one from the Méliès school.
the objective of the training, lasting 4 weeks (147 hours) before evaluation, is to make the trainees employable from the start of 2023, on numerous short and feature film projects.
