Tia Lee, Asian fashion icon, pop singer, film and television actress, has launched a one-of-a-kind music video pre-launch production combining animation, music and fashion videography to herald her comeback
LATIN AMERICA (November 16, 2022). After the release of the “Goodbye Princess” animated trailer and the first episode of six that make up the series, this unique form of storytelling and musical release has reached an unprecedented record of more than 13.75 million views in the first 72 hours.
The “Goodbye Princess” pre-launch campaign kicks off with a six-part animated series. Each 30-second episode is inspired by a classic fictional “princess” and reinterprets ancient tales to tell a fantastical story inspired by Tia’s own experiences and her journey in the entertainment industry. “Goodbye Princess” shows Tia’s determination to break free from stereotypes and prejudices about her, paving the way for her to take control of her own destiny.

The first animated episode, “Falling in the Deep«, awarded on November 11, was carried out by a carefree mermaid who swam happily in a calm ocean. This she, by chance, discovers an old television at the bottom of the sea, which is the entrance to a tunnel that transcends time and space. Captivated by the lights, she swims into the kaleodoscopic tunnel of imagination and temptation.
Suddenly, the mermaid realizes that her tail has turned into legs. Unable to swim, she sinks to the depths of the ocean as a beam of light envelops her. Does this beam of light come to save the mermaid? Or is it a sign of trouble to come? What will be found next? The answers will be revealed in Episode 2, which will air on November 15 (tomorrow).
Accompanying the premiere, a poster was released on November 12 explaining the hidden messages in the short animation clip:
