The first episode of the animated adventures of the Marvel superhero had amazed in 2018. The sequel, expected in June, is slowly being revealed.
In 2018 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had amazed everyone, the critics as well as the public, by bringing a huge breath of fresh air to the superhero films which were already going around in circles. Graphically, scriptwise, musically, the result exceeded the big Marvel productions and we haven’t seen much better since.
That is to say if Spider-Man: Alone Against All, sequel to the adventures of Miles Morales, is one of the most anticipated animated films of 2023. The first film was signed Peter Ramsey, Bob Persichetti and Rodney Rothman. It featured a new generation of characters and told the story of this teenager from Brooklyn, himself a fan of Spider-Man, like many other residents of the city. As often with Marvel, the legend is put into abyss. In an abandoned metro station, the young man is also bitten by a radioactive spider. Miles is transformed by it, like Peter Parker, and must learn to control his powers.

New Spiderman, directed by Kemp Power, Joaquim Dos Santos and Justin K. Thompson, looks just as promising. The trailer, released on Tuesday, reveals the first images … which are very similar to those of the previous film. For two minutes twenty-two, we witness a conversation between Miles and his mother which recalls the first steps of the baby Spider-Man. We quickly understand that he will find old characters, like the pretty and cheeky Spider-Gwen, but also discover new ones, like Spider-Man 2099 or Spider-Woman. For good measure, Sony has announced that this new film will feature no less than two hundred and forty characters crossing six different universes.
the synopsis given by Sony is the next : “After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, friendly Brooklyn neighbor Spider-Man is catapulted across the multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People tasked with protecting his very existence. But when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most…”
Another detail that is important: these new adventures of little Spider-Man will be divided into two films. And if we have to wait another six months to see the first part in cinemas, the conclusion is announced in March 2024 and will be titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
